Past Perfect Continuous Tense

सबसे पहले Past Perfect Continuous Tense कि पहचान क्या होती है, जान लेते है। Past Perfect Continuous Tense से संबंधित वाक्यों का जब हिंन्दी में अनुवाद किया जाता है, तो वाक्य के अंत में से रहा था, से रही थी, से रहे थे की आवाज आती है। यानि कि कोई कार्य भूतकाल में किसी निश्चित समय से हो रहा था। समय (से) के लिए Past Perfect Continuous Tense में since और for का प्रयोग किया जाता है; जैसे-

मैं सुबह से नहा रहा था। (I had been taking bath since the morning.)
हम दो घंटों से एक-दूसरे से बात कर रहे थे। (We had been talking to each other for two hours.)

ध्यान दें

मैं आपको यहाँ पर 'since' और 'for' का use कैसे किया जाता है बता देता हूँ, समय दो तरह का होता है, पक्का और कच्चा समय। जो पक्का समय होता है उसके लिए 'since' का use किया जाता है, जैसे कि day name, time name, weather name, year name, month name, condition name, childhood, etc. यानि कि जिस समय का नाम है वह पक्का समय है। अब बात करते है कच्चे समय की जैसे कि- Many days, two days, 6 months, some minutes, some years, many years, 2 hours, for days, etc और इस तरह के समय से पहले लगता है 'for' का use किया जाता है।

Affirmative Sentences Examples.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense में Affirmative Sentences बनाने के लिए इस Structure का प्रयोग किया जाता है। जैसे- Subject + had been + verb की 1st form + ing +  since/for + Time.

1. She had been studying for two hours. (वह दो घंटों से पढ़ रही थी।)
2. He had been living in this house since 2015. (वह 2015 से इस घर में रह रहा था।)
3. She had been sleeping for half an hour. (वह आधे घंटे से सो रही थी।)
4. I had been studying in this school for ten years. (मैं इस स्कूल में दस साल से पढ़ रहा था।)
5. The clouds had been gathering in the sky since morning. (सुबह से ही आसमान में बादलों का जमावड़ा लग रहा था।)
6. I had been waiting for her since  8 O' clock. (मैं 8 बजे से उसका इंतजार कर रहा था।)
7. The maid had been cooking the food for 30 minutes. (नौकरानी 30 मिनट से खाना पका रही थी।)
8. We had been watching a movie for fifteen minutes. (हम पंद्रह मिनट से एक फिल्म देख रहे थे।)

तो चलिए अब Affirmative Sentences को Negative Sentences में बदलते है। नकारात्मक (Negative) वाक्य बनाने के लिए  Subject + had not been + verb की 1st form + ing +  since/for + Time. का प्रयोग किया जाता है

1. She had not been studying for two hours. (वह दो घंटे से पढ़ाई नहीं कर रही थी।)
2. He had not been living in this house since 2015. (वह 2015 से इस घर में नहीं रह रहा था।)
3. She had not been sleeping for half an hour. (वह आधे घंटे से सो नहीं रही थी।)
4. I had not been studying in this school for ten years. (मैं दस साल से इस स्कूल में नहीं पढ़ रहा था।)
5. The clouds hadn't been gathering in the sky since morning. (सुबह से ही आसमान में बादलों का जमावड़ा नहीं था।)
6. I hadn't been waiting for her since 8 O'clock. (मैं 8 बजे से उसका इंतजार नहीं कर रहा था।)
7. The maid had not been cooking the food for 30 minutes. (नौकरानी 30 मिनट से खाना नहीं बना रही थी।)
8. We hadn't been watching a movie for fifteen minutes. (हम पंद्रह मिनट से फिल्म नहीं देख रहे थें।)

इसी तरह जब Affirmative Sentences को Interrogative Sentences बनाना हो तो निम्न Structure का प्रयोग किया जाता है: प्रश्नवाचक (Interrogative) वाक्यों में Had + subject + been + verb की 1st form + ing + since/for + time? का प्रयोग होता है।

1. Had she been studying for two hours? (क्या वह दो घंटों से पढ़ रही थी?)
2. Had he been living in this house since 2015? (क्या वह 2015 से इस घर में रह रहा था?)
3. Had she been sleeping for half an hour? (क्या वह आधे घंटे से सो रही थी?)
4. Had I been studying in this school for ten years? (क्या मैं दस साल से इस स्कूल में पढ़ रहा था?)
5. Had the clouds been gathering in the sky since morning? (क्या सुबह से ही आसमान में बादलों का जमावड़ा था?)
6. Had I been waiting for her since 8 O'clock? (क्या मैं 8 बजे से उसका इंतजार कर रहा था?)

इसी तरह जब Affirmative Sentences को Interrogative Negative Sentences बनाना हो तो निम्न Structure का प्रयोग किया जाता है। प्रश्नवाचक-नकारात्मक (Interrogative Negative) वाक्यों में Had + subject + not been + verb की 1st form+ ing + since/for + time? or Hadn't + subject + been + verb की 1st form + ing + since/for + time? का प्रयोग होता है। अपनी सुविधा के अनुसार आप इन दोनों में से कोई भी एक Structure का प्रयोग कर सकते है।

1. Had she not been studying for two hours? (क्या वह दो घंटों से पढ़ नहीं रही थी?)
2. Hadn't he been living in this house since 2015? (क्या वह 2015 से इस घर में नहीं रह रहा था?)
3. Hadn't she been sleeping for half an hour? (क्या वह आधे घंटे से सो नहीं रही थी?)
